Helllllzzzz Yeaaaaaa.

A lot has been going on in the last few weeks with The Motivated Sequence, so I will list each happening in an orderly fashion below.

Played a boatload of shows: Limelight, AS220, An insane grad party etc.
Finished recording Machine, you can give it a listen and download it here.
Wrote a new tune that is going to make some heads explode.
Reached total tranquility.

In addition to the above, we have a show coming up at The Middle East Upstairs on June 21st at 8 pm. We are playing with Astonishing Tales & The Dark Matters, both awesome bands so come check them out as well. This is going to be a huge show so we are pulling out all the stops. Whats Up All,
TMS is just coming back from a weekend full of shows:
4/15 : The RadioBean Burlington, VT
4/16 : House Party in Burlington, VT
4/17 : FireHouse 13 Burlington, VT

Last Friday we packed up the cars an headed up to Burlington, VT for a show at a cool Venue/Coffee Shop/Bar called the RadioBean. If you are ever in the Vicinity of Burlington I recommend that you give it a look. The drive was long and the schedule was tight, but we made it just in time for load in. The sound system was a little shaky but we had a great crowd and an awesome show. They even had an upright piano there which was super cool. One of the best shows yet!

After the show we checked out the local nightlife and then got some breakfast the next morning, TMS style.

The house party was beyond amazing. Thanks to everyone who made it possible and to everyone who came out! Most definitely an experience.

The next morning we packed up and headed down to Providence, RI to the Fire House 13 and played a set. Another great show to wrap up the weekend. Huge thanks to everyone who came out.

Next show is at the Precinct in Boston on April 30th and we have a gig a the Middle East coming up so say tuned!

Whats up everyone,

Last Saturday night (April 9th) TMS played over at Church of Boston by Fenway. It was a flat out amazing show. Our friends All These Elements put the show together for their CD release (You can pick up their phenomenal debut CD HERE).

We opened up the show at 8 and played to an awesome crowd. We had crazy intro planned but had some sound / equipment deficiencies before the show and were unable to pull it off (damn snakes w/o Line inputs!). What ev, we’ll do it next time. Anyways, sound was great, the crowd was great, drinks were cheap, and all the bands we played with were great. Couldn’t have been a better night.

Be sure to check out All These Elements, Green Line Inbound, Life on Hold, and One Step Away if you get the chance. All great bands.

Next stop for TMS: Burlington, VT. We are playing a cool little place called the Radio Bean on April 16th at 8 pm, and possibly a house show somewhere up there.

Then: We are shipping back down South for another show in Providence, Rhode Island on Sunday April 17th at Firehouse 13. Time TBA (probably around 5 pm).

What’s up everyone,

TMS has just finished up a week of 4 shows. Yes 4 shows, count em’! All the shows were great. We played some amazing venues and met some awesome people.

Sunday 3/20 - TT the Bear’s Place, Boston MA

What a great venue! We played the side stage which is huddled up next to the bar. Very cool. We rolled in around 6, shot some pool, ate some pizza, and saw some very cool bands. Definitely make an effort to check out Gina’s Picture Show and Dead Young Friends. Both incredible bands.
We had a ton of fun playing the show, so thanks to everyone who came out to that!

Wednesday 3/23 - Best Buy Live Newbury St. Boston

TMS plays Best Buy! Best Buy is doing this super cool thing where they build stages in their stores and have local bands come and rock the shit out of them. Very awesome. The show was streamed over the net and broadcast on all the store TV’s, exciting stuff! We dedicated a few tunes to the DVD players in the store. Thanks to everyone who came out early in the day/ middle of the week to catch that show.

Friday 3/25 - Copperfield’s Boston MA (Over by Fenway)

We returned once again to Copperfield’s on Friday and played upstairs this time! Fleming Entertainment put together a killer line up with The Dirty Names and Around the World & Back (check those guys out)! The place was packed and it turned out to be a pretty radical night (TMNT style).

Sunday 3/27 - Firehouse 13 Providence RI

TMS played their first show in the great state of Rhode Island on Sunday. We played in a repurposed firehouse that is now a venue / art gallery. There were about 14 bands on the bill and the show started around 2 pm, so it was a pretty long day. We went on around 8 and had a great time. Check out The Elysium if you get a chance, great band. TMS can’t wait to make it back down to RI for another show!

OUR NEXT SHOW: is right here in Boston. We are playing over at Church of Boston on April 9th. Tickets are only $7 if you get them from the band so get in touch with us and we will get you a ticket (Tickets come with a free TMS CD as well). Evening all,

TMS just finished up a week of shows! We played at NEU’s Battle of the Bands on Tuesday (promoted as the confusing BOTB @ NEU). There was a great turnout and we played a solid set. Tuesday marked debut of some bad ass Justice League tee’s and a pretty hilarious twitter war broadcasted on the screen behind us as we played. Big thanks to WRBB and NEU for a great night!

On Thursday we played at Limelight stage and Studios on Tremont street (Yea The Karaoke Bar). I’m amazed we got through it as I have been fighting off a pretty nasty cold since Monday. Despite the cold we had a great time and saw some pretty great bands. Definitly check out the Anderson’s and The Nigel Newton Band (One Huge ass band). We played a new tune (Stranger) last night and it went pretty well! I think it’s going to turn out really well once we work through it a few more times. Limelight was a blast even though the whole people doing karaoke in weird little side rooms was a bit odd. After the show some of TMS went up to Burlington VT and basically took a nap for a weekend, good times.

In other news The Motivated Sequence is getting written up in the Suffolk Journal for this weeks issue (I believe), so check that out!

We have a break from shows until after Spring Break, so everyone check the webpage for show dates and come on out!

Pretty cool stuff. We took this after our set on WRBB. We had a great time. We were monitoring through headphones and mine definitely sounded like they were full of poopy, so I was a bit nervous playing during the set. In retrospective I think it went pretty well.

Playing in a radio station was certainly an experience. The DJ’s (Marshal and Karlee) were great. Local distortion is an awesome radio show with some great tunes and some really entertaining back and forth (especially their “This week in Nicholas Cage” segment). The interview segment after the set was a blast, Kento did a couple of his A+ impressions. We posted some pictures up on FB if anyone is interested in checking them out. We also took a little camera video that I will post up there in a little while.

So cool!

Greetings,

TMS is playing live on the radio tomorrow! We will be playing an acoustic set (guitar, violin , bass, & keys). We have some really cool tunes that we are working out, so it should be a fun show.
